Who is responsible for your information
Knittex (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us through the Contact page, by calling 011-692-1658, or at 1350 Staal Road, Stormill, Randburg, 1709.
What we collect
We collect information you choose to submit through enquiry, newsletter, event, and PaybackPRO request forms. This may include your name, contact details, location, company, product or industry interest, project details, and the content of your enquiry.
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may collect online identifiers and information about pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, referring pages, and interactions with the site. If marketing consent is enabled in future, advertising and remarketing services may use similar identifiers to measure and provide relevant advertising.
Why we use it
- To answer enquiries and route them to the appropriate Knittex representative.
- To provide requested product, event, project, or PaybackPRO information.
- To protect, operate, and improve the website.
- To measure website performance where analytics consent has been given.
- To provide marketing or remarketing only where the required consent has been given.
Form security and abuse prevention
We use reCAPTCHA to protect enquiry forms against automated misuse, fraud and abuse. Google processes information needed for this security risk analysis on our behalf, including browser and device signals and interactions with the site. reCAPTCHA may set a necessary security cookie when it runs. This protection is separate from optional analytics and marketing.
Enquiry forms ask you to agree to Knittex using your submitted details to respond to your requirements. This does not subscribe you to marketing, and we do not infer enquiry consent from a cookie choice or an earlier enquiry.
Cookies and similar technology
Essential storage is used to remember your privacy choice and support the site. Optional analytics and marketing technology is disabled until you opt in. Your consent choice is stored for 180 days, after which we may ask again. Google Analytics cookies can remain for up to two years unless you withdraw consent or remove them sooner in your browser.
When article measurement is enabled, and only with your current analytics consent, we measure reading after at least 10 seconds while the article and browser tab are visible. A random browser identifier is shared across tabs for the current South African calendar day. It supports one measured view per article, browser and day, including safe retries. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals suppress this measurement.
MultiknitPRO stores aggregate counts and article/day-scoped anonymous fingerprints, not the raw browser identifier, IP address, user agent, referrer or browsing URL. The bounded fingerprint list is replaced when that article next receives an accepted view on a later day; inactive records may retain their last list. Counts exclude opt-outs and filtered or capacity-limited requests, and are not total readers or unique people.
You may change or withdraw optional consent at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing analytics consent removes the article-measurement identifier and cancels pending measurement. Anonymous counts already accepted cannot identify a person to subtract their earlier view. Measurement does not send earlier browsing history when you later opt in.
Sharing and safeguards
Information is shared only with authorised Knittex personnel and service providers that support website hosting, forms, communications, security, or analytics. Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. We require information to be handled for the stated purpose and apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
Retention and your rights
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal requirements, dispute handling, and legitimate business records. Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information; object to certain processing; or withdraw consent.
If you have a privacy concern, contact Knittex first using the details above. You may also contact the South African Information Regulator through its official website.
Careers
The general Contact form is not a careers application channel. Applications and CVs must be sent to cv@multiknit.co.za with the position quoted in the subject line.
